What’s included when you buy a Holiday Home at Don Amott Parks?

What’s included when you buy a Holiday Home at Don Amott Parks?

For many people buying a holiday home is all about creating a personal space where memories can be made. Across the UK, what’s included when you buy can vary widely – so, just as important as choosing the right home, is understanding exactly what you’ll get for your money. From day one at Don Amott Parks you’ll know exactly what to expect, with no nasty surprises later down the line. In this edition of our blog we look at buying from Don Amott, and what you’ll get…

What you receive with every Holiday Home

Every Don Amott holiday home is fully sited and professionally connected – which means your new static caravan or lodge is placed on its pitch by our experienced team and securely levelled, and is then ready to use. We take care of connecting to essential services (water, electricity and gas) so there’s no need to coordinate contractors or navigate technical issues.

Each holiday home sits on its own dedicated plot and has some private space around it. Depending on the park and specific location, this might include a lawned area, gravel drive or combination of both. A private parking space is also included, so your vehicle is always within easy reach of your front door.

Safety and certification are always a priority so before you receive the keys, your home will have passed thorough checks including gas certification (by a Gas Safe engineer), electrical installation testing and the installation or testing of carbon monoxide detectors, smoke alarms, plus, where required, secure steps and handrails.

Wi-Fi options are available across most parks, for those requiring internet, with packages suitable for everything from checking emails to streaming films. Your holiday home will also be equipped with a TV aerial so you can start enjoying your favourite programmes on ‘terrestrial TV’ right away.

We want moving in on one of the Don Amott Parks feel effortless – so you’ll also receive a welcome pack which includes essential information about your park, emergency contacts and, in some cases, starter supplies to help you settle in.

Amenities and facilities on your doorstep

When you move onto a Don Amott park you’re not just buying a holiday home. You’re gaining access to a highly convenient sort of lifestyle, as each of our parks offers a wide range of amenities.

The exact offerings vary by location across our five parks, of course, but whichever one you buy your holiday home on, you can expect everything you need close at hand. Whether you’re at Lakeside Park, Nettleton, Willows Park, Whispering Waters or Windmill Park, you’ll be in a well-maintained, thoughtfully designed environment. From clubhouses and launderettes to leisure facilities including children’s play areas, golf courses and well-stocked fishing lakes, our parks cater to all ages and interests – and fun is guaranteed.

Ongoing support and peace of mind

Buying a holiday home is just the beginning. At Don Amott Parks, we support you long after you’ve moved in. Our on-site teams are a reassuring presence, available to help with practical issues from maintenance advice to arranging annual checks. Optional maintenance plans are available when you want complete peace of mind, and we offer winterisation services like drain-downs to protect your home during the off-season.

Security is another key element. Our parks benefit from regular staff presence, secure entry points, and in many cases, CCTV monitoring. Whether you’re staying for the weekend or heading home for a few weeks, you can rest assured that your holiday home is in safe hands.

At the initial stage of purchase, new homes come with robust manufacturer warranties – typically five years for structural components and up to ten years for the chassis (depending on the brand and model). Appliances are also covered, often with 12-month guarantees.

Why choose Don Amott Parks?

There are several reasons our parks stand out from the crowd. To begin with, this is a family-run business with roots which go all the way back to 1963. That heritage and longevity means a lot to us, and shape the way we treat our customers – with honesty, reliability and a commitment to quality.

Our five parks are located in some of Lincolnshire’s most attractive settings. Whether you prefer the coast, the countryside or somewhere in between, Don Amott Parks offer peaceful, beautifully maintained sites which have excellent access to local attractions. Our operating season is generous, running from March to January each year so you can make the most of your home for ten months – which is much longer than the average.

We’re also very proud to be pet-friendly. Many of our residents bring their dogs along, and our parks include great areas to walk them as well as other pet-welcoming features. The genuine sense of community is another standout feature of our parks. Regular social events, informal gatherings and friendly neighbours create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps people coming back to our parks year after year.

When it comes to choice, we offer a wide range of static caravans and luxury lodges from trusted UK manufacturers. Whether you’re looking for something cosy and traditional or more spacious and high-spec, we will help you find exactly the right fit.

Common questions about our parks answered

Prospective owners frequently ask questions about our parks.

  • Do I own the land?

Not quite. You own the holiday home itself, but the land is leased to you for a set period (usually between 15 and 20 years, depending on your home and location).

  • Are there hidden fees?

We aim for complete transparency. Your sales advisor will walk you through all costs upfront, including annual pitch fees and any optional services.

  • Is council tax payable?

No, as your holiday home is not a permanent residence, council tax is not applicable. Services and maintenance are covered through your annual site fees.

  • Can I sublet my holiday home at Don Amott Parks?

Subletting is not allowed on our parks.

How Don Amott compares to other parks

Compared with many other providers in the UK holiday home market, Don Amott Parks offers a more inclusive approach. According to the NCC (National Caravan Council) many parks charge several thousand pounds for siting and connections alone – whereas, at Don Amott, those services are included in the overall price.

Our longer operating season, accessible customer service and high-quality amenities consistently put us above average within the industry. We’re very proud to offer a stress-free buying process and ongoing support as well as the quality of our parks themselves.

If you’re thinking about buying a holiday home, we’d love to welcome you to have a look around. Nothing beats seeing a park in person, chatting with the team and getting a feel for the community. Contact us for a no-pressure chat or come and see one (or more) of our parks for yourself. We’d love to show you around.
